And Americanah, shortlisted for the Bailey’s women’s prize for fiction, is a book that falls under this category. ![]() This sort of fiction is art at its finest. It gives you the opportunity to read between the lines and to dissect and tap into the text for layers of meaning. ![]() You can re-read a work of literary fiction over and over and each time, it will provide you with newer insights. ![]() If I were to tell you why I love literary fiction as a genre, in one single sentence, it is because books of this kind provide readers with immense food for thought.
